India just became Bali's #2 source market. In 2025, over 569,000 Indian tourists landed in Bali - second only to Australia and ahead of China. Nearly 80% of all Indians visiting Indonesia now enter via Ngurah Rai. Direct flights from Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru have quietly turned Bali into the easiest overseas sell on your rate card.

You don't need to convince clients to go to Bali. You need to convert the enquiry before someone else does.

Why the pitch is already half-made

  • Direct connectivity: Air India and IndiGo now operate non-stops from Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru - 7 to 9 hours, most flights landing early morning in Bali (a full first day recovered).

  • Visa is a non-issue: e-VOA at IDR 500,000 (~₹2,800) for 30 days, extendable once. No embassy visit, no interview.

  • Rupee stretches: A 5-night couple package lands between ₹65,000–₹1.1 lakh per person all-in -cheaper than most European city breaks.

  • Every persona fits somewhere: Honeymoon, family, MICE, wedding, friends group, first-time flyer - Bali has a region for each.

  • Instagram does your marketing: Clients arrive with a shortlist. Your job is packaging, not persuasion.

Sell the right Bali to the right client

Seminyak & Canggu - Young couples, friend groups, first-time international travellers. Beach clubs, sunset bars, walkable strips. Easiest to price competitively.

Ubud - Honeymooners, wellness clients, 35+ FITs. Rice terraces, jungle villas, spa packages. High margin on private-pool villas.

Nusa Dua - Families, senior travellers, MICE groups. Gated resort zone, safe beaches, all-inclusive properties. Zero decision fatigue for clients.

Uluwatu - Luxury honeymoons, destination weddings, HNI clients. Clifftop resorts (Six Senses, Bulgari, Alila). Premium yield.

Nusa Penida / Gili day trips - Add-on for adventure clients or Gen-Z groups. Instagrammable, easy upsell of ₹8,000–₹15,000 per pax.

The four buckets that convert fastest

  1. Honeymoon (5N/6D) - Ubud + Seminyak or Uluwatu + Nusa Dua. Floating breakfasts, private-pool villas, candlelight dinners are standard inclusions. Highest conversion segment from India.

  2. Family (6N/7D) - Nusa Dua base + Ubud excursion. Waterbom park, safari, cultural shows. Parents book early, low cancellation risk.

  3. Destination weddings -Intimate ceremonies start ~₹15 lakhs; full multi-day Indian weddings scale to ₹1 cr+. Nusa Dua and Uluwatu resorts are already built for haldi–mehendi–sangeet flow.

  4. Friends & bachelorette groups - Seminyak/Canggu villas, Nusa Penida day trip, nightlife circuit. High margin on group villas.

Booking windows to quote by

  • Peak (July, Dec–early Jan): Sell 90+ days out. Villa rates rise 40–60%. Push early-bird packages now.

  • Shoulder (Apr–Jun, Sep–Oct): Best value window. Dry weather, fewer crowds, softer rates. This is your default recommendation for FITs.

  • Green season (Nov, Feb–Mar): Aggressive pricing, short showers only. Sell honestly to budget clients - most days are still usable.

Two things to flag on every booking

  • Bali Tourism Levy: IDR 150,000 (~₹850) per person, one-time, mandatory since Feb 2024. Collect via the Love Bali portal before departure - factor it into your quote or the client feels stung at arrival.

  • All Indonesia e-Arrival Card: Now mandatory for all visitors. Have clients complete it 48–72 hours before flying to avoid immigration queues at DPS.
